Shopify for home and lifestyle
Home and lifestyle Shopify stores for considered purchases — dimensions, delivery, and rooms — not a fashion grid with larger photos.
Home and lifestyle brands sell dimension, material, and arrival time as much as look. Weblexia builds Shopify for décor, furniture, and living brands that need honest specs, bundle logic, and PDPs that help someone decide on a sofa or a table — not a theme that only works for apparel.

01 — What we build
What this engagement covers
01
Spec-led product pages
Dimensions, materials, lead times, and care as metafields the merchandising team owns.
02
Room and collection merchandising
Shop-the-look and category IA that matches how people furnish — without a custom visualizer unless the catalog and photography support it.
03
Delivery and bulky-goods honesty
Freight, white-glove, and made-to-order messaging in cart and PDP so checkout is not the first time the customer learns the lead time.
02 — What's included
In a typical statement of work
- OS 2.0 architecture for home catalogs
- Dimension, material, and lead-time metafields
- Collection IA for rooms, materials, and use
- Bundle and shop-the-look sections where content exists
- Freight and delivery messaging patterns
- App review for reviews, wishlists, and delivery
- Launch, redirects, and handover notes
03 — Process
How the work actually runs
- 01
Catalog and operations
We map how you actually sell: variants, bundles, subscriptions, shipping rules, and who will merchandise the store after launch.
- 02
Storefront architecture
Templates, metafields, and collection logic are specified before theme polish. Apps are chosen against that model — not stacked because a competitor uses them.
- 03
Theme build
Online Store 2.0 sections, PDP performance, and editor training. Campaign modules are built so merchandisers can ship drops without a developer ticket.
- 04
Launch and handover
Staging sign-off, redirects, analytics, and a written operating note. Go-live is a rehearsal, not the first time the catalog is complete.
05 — Why Weblexia
How we partner on this work
01
Catalog-first, not theme-first
Industry Shopify work fails when a pretty theme is dropped on an unmodelled catalog. We start with variants, merchandising, and checkout constraints.
02
Merchandisers can operate it
Sections, metafields, and collection rules are built for the team that will run campaigns — not only for the screenshot at launch.
03
Apps treated as liabilities
Every app is a performance and ops cost. We keep what the category actually needs and document what we refuse to install.
04
Performance as acceptance
PDP weight, image pipelines, and third-party scripts are part of done. Fashion, beauty, and D2C traffic does not wait for a follow-up speed project.

09 — FAQs
Questions we are asked before a proposal
Do you build room visualizers or AR?
Only when photography, SKU data, and a vendor are already in the plan. A visualizer without dimension-accurate assets is a demo. Most home brands get more from honest specs and better collection IA.
Can you handle made-to-order furniture?
Yes — lead times, swatches, and non-returnable messaging belong in the theme and the checkout-adjacent copy. Inventory pretence is worse than a clear eight-week make window.
Our products are bulky. Is Shopify still right?
Often yes, with the right shipping apps and fulfilment partner. The theme must surface cost and arrival before pay. We will say if the operational model is the blocker, not the storefront.
Is this the same as lifestyle brand design?
Brand design is the visual system. This engagement is the Shopify catalog, delivery truth, and merchandising model. They can run in sequence; they are not the same statement of work.
Next step
Discuss your home and lifestyle Shopify store with the team that ships it.
Share the catalog, the current theme, or the outcome you need. A senior lead replies with a realistic path — discovery, a scoped Shopify build, or a clear decline if we are not the right fit.
