WordPress migration
Move to WordPress without losing URLs, content, or a weekend of DNS panic.
We migrate sites onto WordPress, between WordPress hosts, or onto a new theme while keeping the URL map, forms, and analytics intact. The work starts with an inventory, not a plugin that claims one-click.

01 — What we build
What this engagement covers
01
Platform-to-WordPress moves
From Webflow, Squarespace, custom stacks, or outdated CMS tools into a planned WordPress architecture.
02
Host and stack migrations
New hosting, PHP, and caching without changing the public site more than you intend.
03
Theme migrations
Content retained, design rebuilt or remapped, redirects verified.
02 — What's included
In a typical statement of work
- URL and content inventory
- Redirect map
- Content and media migration
- Form and integration rewiring
- Staging parity checks
- DNS and cutover window
03 — Process
How the work actually runs
- 01
Inventory
URLs, content types, redirects, apps or plugins, and what must survive the move versus what should be retired.
- 02
Target architecture
Theme, CMS, and integration plan on the destination platform — written before content is copied at scale.
- 03
Migration
Content, media, customers or products as applicable, with staging parity checks against the live site.
- 04
Cutover
DNS, redirects, analytics, and a rollback note. We do not treat launch day as an experiment.
05 — Why Weblexia
How we partner on this work
01
Senior delivery, not a handoff chain
A lead who can read the design file, the CMS, and the production constraints owns the work. You are not queued behind a sales layer and a junior build team.
02
Fidelity with maintainability
Pixel accuracy matters. So does what happens after launch — editors, merchandisers, and future campaigns should be able to work without breaking the system.
03
Performance treated as a requirement
Core Web Vitals, caching, and asset discipline are part of acceptance — not a follow-up project after the site looks finished.
04
Clear scope before engineering spend
We write assumptions, exclusions, and a definition of done. If we are not the right studio, we say so before you commit.
Partnership signal
What happens when you reach out
A senior lead reads your context before the first conversation — not a script, not a junior qualifier. If we are not the right fit, we say so plainly.
Qualified inquiries receive a written response within two business days — often with a proposed discovery shape, not a generic rate card.
06 — Capabilities
What we typically implement
- Content migration
- Redirects
- SEO preservation
- Host moves
- WordPress
- PHP
- MySQL
- Redirects
- Search Console
Investment
Productized economics
Published ranges and tiers orient the conversation — final statements of work reflect your stack, traffic, and risk profile after a short consultation.
Starting from — scoped after discovery
- WordPress and redesign engagements are priced after we see the Figma file, the current stack, and who will edit the site. We do not publish a single starter fee because plugin debt, WooCommerce, and template count change the work.
- Consultation produces a written scope: deliverables, assumptions, and a timeline you can take to finance. See engagement models on the pricing hub.
09 — FAQs
Questions we are asked before a proposal
Will we lose SEO in a WordPress migration?
Not if redirects, titles, and indexation are planned. We map every important URL. Rankings still depend on content quality and the new templates; we do not guarantee positions.
Can you migrate WooCommerce as well?
Yes, as a commerce migration with products, customers, and orders in scope. That is a different risk profile from a brochure site and is priced accordingly.
Next step
Discuss your WordPress migration with the team that ships it.
Share the Figma file, the current site, or the outcome you need. A senior lead replies with a realistic path — discovery, a scoped build, or a clear decline if we are not the right fit.
